Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Doha. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and company policies
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights to management
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
