About This Role

For the Role.
Provide accurate day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end reporting and analysis to support financial control and decision‑making across the business.

Major Tasks

  • Maintain general ledger: post journals, accruals, prepayments and month‑end close activities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and account reconciliations.
  • Process AP and AR transactions, ensure timely supplier payments and customer invoicing/collections support.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, payroll and intercompany balances.
  • Prepare tax/VAT schedules and support statutory filings and external audit requests.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc financial analysis or cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements; maintain accounting policies and documentation.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff (Senior Accountant role) and review their work for accuracy.
  • Improve accounting processes and contribute to ERP/finance system enhancements.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred for Senior Accountant.
  • General Accountant: 1–3 years’ accounting experience; Senior Accountant: 3–6 years’ experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of month‑end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks or similar).
  • Experience with Qatar/GCC statutory and tax requirements advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Valid work authorisation for Qatar.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR1,200.00 - QAR1,300.00 per month
