Role overview

Accounting operations and reporting

• Manage accounting operations, maintain books and transaction documentation, and oversee AP, AR, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
• Perform bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations; maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor expenses, budgets, working capital, and cash flow; maintain fixed-asset registers, depreciation schedules, and supplier payment schedules.
• Maintain accurate accounting classifications, controls, and audit-ready documentation; support management with reports and analysis.

Tax and audit

• Prepare and review UAE VAT calculations and returns, check tax invoices and credit notes, reconcile input and output VAT, and maintain records.
• Handle UAE Corporate Tax calculations, documentation, filing requirements, tax reconciliations, and supporting schedules; monitor statutory deadlines.
• Prepare audit schedules and reconciliations, coordinate with auditors, respond to queries, and correct discrepancies.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; ACCA, CA, or similar qualification preferred.
• 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE; experience working directly under a Chartered Accountant is highly preferred.
• Strong UAE VAT and Corporate Tax knowledge and proven hands-on Zoho Books experience.
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation knowledge; experience with AP, AR, General Ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Able to work independently and meet strict reporting and tax deadlines; good communication, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Salary

• The posting lists pay of AED 6,000–8,000 per month.
