The Amazon Data Services India Data Center Security Group seeks a Security Systems Project Manager.
The team designs, installs, and integrates security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance.
The role reviews existing standards and new technologies that can enhance physical security at data centers and co-locations.
Project delivery
- Lead physical security design and installation for new data centers, expansions, and special projects.
- Manage multi-million-dollar project lifecycles, including bids, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendors, budgets, change orders, and close-out documentation.
- Integrate business requirements into system design and implementation with infrastructure operations, construction teams, managers, and other stakeholders.
- Support construction and deployment of physical security packages at data centers and co-locations.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure standards compliance during construction, testing, and acceptance.
Systems, standards, and support
- Review emerging physical security technologies and assess their applicability to the AWS program.
- Provide subject matter expertise to inform leadership decisions on technology and procedure.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs of security equipment.
- Ensure compliance with project standards, scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
- Design and implement system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change management.
- Support commissioning, final testing and acceptance, and project handoff.
- Build and deploy training programs for physical security system users.
Candidate profile
- Demonstrated large-scale project and program management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth physical security technology knowledge and experience across research, system design, construction oversight, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Strong organization and task prioritization, with ability to work across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
