Role overview
The Security Officer supports Security Managers in protecting members, guests, colleagues, and property.
The role monitors and patrols the premises, responds to security incidents, and supports a safe environment while delivering professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Control entry and exit points, restrict unauthorized access, and verify identification and credentials.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, theft, trespassing, and other security violations.
- Provide first aid or assist during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Keep daily activity and incident records and submit reports to management or law enforcement when necessary.
- Inspect for safety hazards and follow company policies, procedures, and legal security and safety requirements.
- Assist members, guests, and colleagues with directions and information and address inquiries courteously.
- Deter threats through visible vigilance, coordinate with authorities and emergency services, and assist with investigations.
Qualifications and experience
- A SIRA license or certificate is mandatory.
- Higher Secondary Education or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of security experience in the luxury hospitality industry is required.
- Strong English proficiency is essential; additional languages are desirable.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous.
- Candidates should remain composed under pressure, provide excellent customer service, communicate across diverse backgrounds, take responsibility, and build effective relationships.
