Role overview
The Security Officer supports Security Managers in protecting members, guests, colleagues, and property.
The role includes security monitoring, patrols, incident response, and professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points and ensure only authorized people access restricted areas; verify identification and credentials.
- Monitor and patrol the premises; respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances and handle theft, trespassing, or other security violations.
- Provide first aid or assist during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Maintain daily activity, incident, and security-breach records; submit reports to management and law enforcement when needed.
- Inspect for safety hazards and comply with company security and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Assist members, guests, and colleagues with directions and information and address inquiries courteously.
- Deter threats through visible presence and vigilance; coordinate with local authorities and emergency services.
- Assist with investigations of security breaches or criminal activity on the premises.
Experience and qualifications
- A SIRA license or certificate is mandatory.
- Higher secondary education or equivalent.
- At least two years of security experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
- Strong proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are desirable.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous.
- Remain composed in challenging situations; provide excellent service and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Show initiative, independent judgment, personal responsibility, and the ability to build effective relationships.
