Role overview

Duties

• Manage entry and exit points and verify identification and credentials for restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances; handle theft, trespassing, and other security violations.
• Provide first aid or assist during medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Maintain daily activity and incident records and submit reports to management or law enforcement when necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections for safety hazards and ensure compliance with security and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Assist members, guests, and colleagues with directions and information and address concerns professionally.
• Deter threats through visible presence and vigilance; coordinate with authorities and emergency services when required.
• Assist with investigations of security breaches or criminal activity on the premises.

Candidate requirements

• A SIRA licence or certificate is mandatory.
• Higher Secondary Education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of security experience in luxury hospitality.
• Strong proficiency in English is essential.
• Ability to remain composed in challenging situations and provide excellent customer service to employees and members.
• Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, take responsibility, think independently, and build effective relationships.

Additional skills

• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous.
• Additional languages are desirable.
