Join the Pension Scheme Accounting Team supporting day-to-day financial control of the Nest pension scheme.

Responsibilities
- Review reconciliations and monitor cash and banking activity.
- Investigate exceptions and contribute to month-end accounting processes.
- Prepare financial analysis, maintain procedures and support audit activity.
- Contribute to process and control improvements.
Minimum criteria
- Experience with cash, bank or financial reconciliations; experience in pensions, financial services, administration or high-volume transactions is described as ideal.
- Experience analysing high-volume and high-value transaction data and identifying trends and exceptions.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills and understanding of accuracy, completeness, evidence and controls.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence with financial systems, reporting tools and large datasets.
- Experience working with third-party providers and following issues through to resolution.
- Degree, accounting qualification study, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Positive, persistent approach to routine and difficult problems.
Flexible and agile working
- Hybrid working combines the Canary Wharf, London office and home working.
- Office attendance is expected once or twice a week, or more often as role requirements demand.
- Working hours or days may be reduced or varied, subject to role requirements.
Team context
The Pension Scheme Accounting team owns core accounting for the Nest Pension Scheme within the Finance team.
The team is responsible for financial control activities and scheme accounting.
