About Al Milad
Al Milad General Trading Company is a member of the Rocmet Corporation Group and one of the UAE's established natural stone suppliers.
We stock and supply Omani marble, Italian travertine, and premium stone to contractors, interior designers, and developers across the UAE and GCC.
Our materials have been specified on landmark projects including Sterling by Omniyat Twin Towers in Dubai Marina.
We have a large yard in Sharjah Industrial Area 11 with extensive Omani slab stock and operate a direct import model giving us competitive pricing and supply certainty on Omani material.
The Role
We are looking for a driven, personable sales professional to work from our Sharjah yard.
This is a yard-based business development role — you will be the face of Al Milad to walk-in customers and will actively develop new accounts in the region.
This is not a desk job.
You will be on the yard floor, meeting customers, handling enquiries, going out to visit contractors and marble shops, and building relationships that bring repeat business back to us.
You do not need to know marble.
We will teach you everything about the product.
What we cannot teach is energy, commercial instinct, and the ability to connect with people — you need to bring those yourself.
What You Will Do
- Manage walk-in customers at the yard — understand their requirements, show materials, and close orders
- Make outbound calls and visits to contractors, fit-out companies, marble fabricators and interior designers in Sharjah and Dubai
- Develop new accounts — identify potential buyers in Industrial Area 11 and surrounding areas, introduce them to our product range and bring them to the yard
- Support the introduction of new materials — learn the product and help communicate it to customers
- Follow up on quotes, chase payments, and manage your customer relationships proactively
- Report daily sales activity and maintain basic customer records
- Work closely with the operations and procurement team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly
Who We Are Looking For
- We are open to candidates from outside the marble industry.
- The following backgrounds have the skills that translate directly to this role:
- Automobile showroom floor sales
- Banking or financial services sales (credit cards, personal loans, SME)
- Building materials sales — tiles, sanitary ware, paints, flooring
- FMCG territory sales covering UAE
- Hotel front office or guest relations (four/five star properties)
- Recent graduates with a business, engineering, or interior design background and a strong drive to build a commercial career
- You will thrive in this role if you:
- Are comfortable talking to strangers and building rapport quickly
- Are motivated by targets and commission — you want to earn more when you perform
- Can work independently without being told what to do every hour
- Take pride in your presentation and professionalism
- Are curious about products and enjoy learning something new
- Speak English clearly — Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
Commission Structure
Commission is linked to gross margin, not just revenue — we reward quality selling, not discounting.

*A strong performer doing AED 200K/month at 18% GM earns AED 3,000 commission + AED 3,500 base \= AED 6,500/month.
At AED 300K/month the earnings are significantly higher.*
