Role Purpose
Manage and expand customer base to promote sustained sales growth and achieve company sales objectives.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
- Call on assigned accounts to sell repair products and services within a specified territory.
- Call on prospective clients to grow market share within the assigned territory.
- Focus on personal sales target and business development.
- Work closely with the Service Center Sales Manager and other Sales Engineers to ensure proper shop loading throughout the year.
- Build relationships with customer site individuals including rotating equipment engineers, maintenance managers, purchasing agents, and site management.
- Troubleshoot customer problems, focusing on bad actors to improve energy and operating costs and equipment reliability.
- Stay up to date on customer processes and AMCO and competitor product capabilities.
- Prepare presentations and proposals to obtain new orders, including review of customer specifications and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate and resolve customer service issues to retain customers and create future revenue opportunities.
- Assist in collecting accounts receivable on past due accounts.
- Travel as needed to call on customers and manage personal travel and entertainment budget.
- Complete call, sales, and expense reports on a timely basis.
Education & Experience
- Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years of required experience.
