Key Accountabilities
- Job planning and priorities: review drawings, procedures, routing, and job requirements; coordinate priorities with the supervisor; and select an efficient machining and repair method.
- Machine setup and operation: independently set up and operate VTLs, HBMs, CNC turning centers, milling machines, and conventional lathes including alignment, workholding, datum setting, tooling, offsets, simulation, and controlled prove-out.
- CNC programming: create, input, edit, verify, prove out, and optimize programs for premium connections, API connections, and other assigned work.
- Troubleshooting: diagnose and correct machine, program, setup, chatter, vibration, tool-wear, dimensional-drift, and surface-finish issues.
- Precision machining: manufacture and restore components to specified dimensions, fits, concentricity, runout, surface finish, geometric tolerances, and workmanship standards.
- Pressure-control repair: disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, machine, lap, reface, repair, restore, replace, and reassemble valves, actuators, pressure-containing components, and sealing parts.
- Testing and inspection: perform dimensional checks and prepare and perform or support approved hydrostatic, pneumatic, shell, seat-leakage, operational, and functional tests.
- Performance and completion: meet approved utilization, productivity, efficiency, quality, routing-time, and manufacturer-standard requirements and complete inspection, test, and work-order records.
- Teamwork and communication: work independently or with team members, communicate professionally, provide technical guidance within own competence, and escalate issues.
