About the Opportunity
Support an AI training and evaluation project by reviewing LLM-generated code patches for repositories the maintainer supports.
Prior AI experience is not required; open-source and software engineering expertise are the focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate LLM-generated patches and provide detailed technical feedback.
- Write justifications and assessments for reviewed patches.
- Peer-review work submitted by other technical experts.
- Assess quality, correctness, maintainability, and fit with repository standards.
Required Qualifications
- Show demonstrable open-source contributions through GitHub, GitLab, or similar platforms.
- Have experience maintaining or contributing to open-source repositories.
- Bring strong software engineering experience in one or more of C++, Java, TypeScript, Rust, Golang, Python, or C.
- Have experience reviewing other contributors' code.
- Demonstrate strong written communication and technical judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience as an open-source repository maintainer is preferred.
- Experience managing contributor submissions and conducting code reviews is preferred.
- An active GitHub or GitLab profile showcasing substantial open-source work is preferred.
Compensation and Engagement
- Independent contractor engagement at $150–$300 per hour equivalent.
- The role is 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
- Compensation is output-based and paid per completed task meeting project requirements; minimum weekly submission requirements apply.
Location
- The position is remote.
