Role overview
The Runner joins the front-of-house team at a lifestyle dining brand, such as SUSHISAMBA, Signor Sassi, or L’AMO.
The role supports guest experience and service standards in a luxury hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar accurately and professionally.
- Ensure dishes reach the correct table and guest; keep track of table numbers, seat positions, and guest requirements.
- Assist waiters, supervisors, and the Chef de Pass throughout service.
- Support table setup, clearing, resetting, and floor presentation.
- Check food presentation before dishes leave the pass.
- Communicate with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and hygiene.
- Anticipate guest and team needs, respond to requests professionally, and remain efficient during peak periods.
- Follow company grooming, hygiene, health and safety, and guest-service standards.
Ideal candidate requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Runner, Food Runner, Commis Waiter, or similar role in a luxury restaurant, five-star hotel, beach club, or luxury lifestyle venue.
- Experience with an internationally recognized luxury lifestyle hospitality brand is highly desirable.
- Experience in Dubai or another major international hospitality market is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations.
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- Energetic, polished, attentive, guest-focused, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods.
