Risk Management Supervisor

Job Purpose

Organizational Accountabilities

• Ensure work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Ensure day-to-day activities are properly performed in line with policies and procedures
• Follow-up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner

Functional Accountabilities

• Supervise day-to-day risk management operations and ensure adherence to hospital risk policies and procedures
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, and documentation processes, ensuring timely follow-up and closure
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and root cause analyses (RCA) for adverse events and near misses
• Monitor risk registers and support updating mitigation plans and controls
• Facilitate staff training and awareness programs on risk identification and reporting
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to promote a culture of risk awareness and safety
• Prepare and submit risk reports and summaries to the Risk Manager and senior leadership
• Support internal and external audits related to risk management and patient safety
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of risk-related information
• Participate in risk management committee meetings and contribute to action planning

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge and Experience:
• 2–4 years of experience in healthcare risk management or quality assurance
• Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards and incident investigation processes
• Knowledge of risk management tools and methodologies

Education

• and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field

Skills

• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
• Proficient in data entry and reporting software
• Fluent in English and Arabic are an advantage
