Role overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze card transactions to identify unusual patterns, suspicious payments, and potential fraud.
• Investigate fraud alerts, disputed payments, chargebacks, and incidents, coordinating with customers, internal teams, and international payment networks as needed.
• Apply Visa and Mastercard rules, internal policies, and security procedures when reviewing transactions and managing cases.
• Review antifraud rules and monitoring parameters to improve detection and reduce financial exposure.
• Maintain investigation records, suspicious transaction details, outcomes, and corrective measures for audits and compliance reviews.
• Participate in fraud-prevention and payment-security awareness and training.
• Assess fraud-prevention procedures and security controls and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate prompt case review and handling within established procedures and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance.
• One to three years of professional experience in financial services, including one to two years in fraud prevention, risk management, compliance, or a similar function.
• Practical experience with transaction-monitoring platforms, fraud-detection software, or other antifraud systems.
• Good understanding of card payment processing, card operations, and Visa and Mastercard regulations and operating procedures.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills; ability to examine transaction data, recognize irregularities, assess risks, and handle complex cases.
• High attention to detail and a systematic approach to reviewing evidence and documenting findings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers, teams, payment networks, and stakeholders.
