Role overview

Rigging and equipment operations

• Perform rigging and heavy lifting for equipment transfers, vessel mobilisations, and yard activities.
• Inspect and prepare slings, shackles, spreader bars, lifting frames, and associated rigging equipment before use.
• Support safe loading and offloading at the shore base, jetties, and offshore support vessels.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when appropriately licensed and authorized.
• Carry out assigned MIG, ARC, or TIG welding when certified and directed by the Rigging Supervisor.
• Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation of survey and subsea project equipment according to project schedules.

Safety, equipment, and coordination

• Maintain rigging equipment and report defects, damage, or expired certifications.
• Participate in inspections, lifting-plan implementation, and safe execution of lifting operations.
• Follow company HSE procedures, Permit to Work requirements, toolbox talks, and mandatory PPE standards.
• Maintain housekeeping in the yard and lifting-equipment storage areas.
• Coordinate equipment movements with stores, logistics, vessel crews, and project personnel.
• Support improvements to lifting operations, equipment handling, and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Secondary education with vocational rigging or lifting training and hands-on yard and marine operations experience.
• Basic rigging or slinging certification is required.
• Forklift operator license and MIG, ARC, or TIG welding certificate are advantageous.
• Valid offshore safety training such as OPITO/BOSIET is preferred.
