Role overview

Duties

• Set up the bar by cleaning areas and equipment, stocking fridges and stations, and preparing mise en place before each shift.
• Assist with stock counts and ensure adequate crockery, glassware, cutlery, condiments, fruit, herbs, and other supplies.
• Prepare hot drinks, clean hot-drink equipment, replenish stations, and wash utensils, glassware, and crockery during service.
• Keep stations and bar areas clean throughout service and help set up for special or private events.
• Attend to bar guests, provide feedback to managers, and promptly report guest dissatisfaction.
• Learn menus and attend food and beverage training to explain ingredients and preparation methods to guests when needed.
• Provide courteous, professional, attentive, and efficient service to customers, staff, and suppliers.
• Know the operation’s layout and equipment locations, respond to operational changes, and attend and contribute to staff briefings and meetings.
• Support new recruits through on-the-job training; maintain presentation standards, punctuality, and appropriate attire.

What the role requires

• Previous Food & Beverage experience is preferred, particularly in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations, beverages, and service standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and replenish stock.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
