Remote IT Technician

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support for hardware, software, operating systems, and business applications.
• Troubleshoot issues using remote access tools and support platforms; install, configure, and maintain software and updates.
• Respond to service requests, prioritize incidents, and manage tickets through resolution.
• Assist users with account access, system configuration, and general technology inquiries.
• Monitor performance, investigate recurring issues, and escalate complex incidents while communicating with users.
• Document support work, resolutions, and procedures; follow system access, update, and data-protection policies.
• Recommend improvements to support processes and technical documentation.

Qualifications and requirements

• A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is requested; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
• Experience in IT support, technical support, service desk, or help desk roles is preferred.
• Strong understanding of hardware, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and software applications.
• Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and IT service management practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize multiple issues, meet service expectations, stay organized, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with technologies and support practices.
