Provides technical support and maintenance for computer systems, software applications, and network-related technologies from a remote work environment.
Diagnoses technical issues, resolves user requests, and helps ensure reliable IT operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote support for hardware, software, operating systems, and business applications.
- Troubleshoot issues using remote access tools and support platforms; install, configure, and maintain software and system updates.
- Prioritize service requests, manage tickets to completion, and assist with account access, system configuration, and user inquiries.
- Monitor performance, identify recurring issues, and escalate complex incidents while communicating with users.
- Document support work and procedures, follow security and data-protection policies, and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
- Experience in IT support, technical support, service desk, or help desk roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hardware, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and software applications.
- Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and IT service management practices is requested.
- Requires analytical troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, organization, documentation, independent work, and effective collaboration.
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with technology and support practices.
