Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our gym members and visitors.
The ideal candidate will manage front desk operations, provide excellent customer service, handle memberships, and support the smooth day-to-day functioning of the fitness facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist members, guests, and prospective clients in a professional manner.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
- Handle member registrations, renewals, cancellations, and membership documentation.
- Schedule appointments for personal training sessions, fitness assessments, and classes.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor member check-ins and ensure adherence to gym policies.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints or escalate them when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas.
- Coordinate with trainers and management regarding schedules and member requests.
- Assist with promotional activities, events, and membership sales campaigns.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain administrative records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in administration or customer service are an advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or front desk role, preferably in a gym, fitness center, or hospitality environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and gym management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in membership sales and customer retention.
- Knowledge of fitness and wellness services.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and basic administrative tasks.
