Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Dubai.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), conducting detailed cost estimates, and supporting cost planning throughout the project life cycle.

The role includes monitoring project expenditures, implementing cost control measures, and preparing regular cost reports to support decision-making and budget adherence.

The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to evaluate variations, manage contract valuations, and support claims and tender evaluations.

The position also involves ensuring compliance with relevant standards, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Management, Cost Planning, and Cost Reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Cost Control practices, including monitoring budgets, tracking variations, and supporting value engineering.
  • Experience in preparing, reviewing, and updating BOQ and related quantity take-offs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., RICS or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contracts and construction procurement methods.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost management software, and good MS Excel skills.
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure or building projects, preferably in the Middle East, is beneficial.
