QS Engineer- GRC

About This Role

The QS Engineer will be responsible for cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and commercial management of GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) projects, including facades, cladding, and architectural elements. The role involves close coordination with design, production, and project teams to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Estimation & Costing

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for GRC works (panels, screens, domes, cladding)
• Analyze drawings (architectural, structural, shop drawings) for accurate quantity extraction
• Prepare tender submissions and pricing strategies

🔹 Commercial Management

• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow
• Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts

🔹 Procurement Support

• Coordinate with procurement for material pricing and subcontractor quotations
• Perform comparative analysis (L1/L2/L3) for vendors and subcontractors

🔹 Project Coordination

• Liaise with design, production, and site teams for quantity verification and updates
• Track progress vs. BOQ and highlight cost deviations

🔹 Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain cost reports, MIS, and project commercial records
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and project specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or related field
• 3–8 years of experience in GRC
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation & quantity take-offs; GRC materials, molds, and production processes; Contract administration (FIDIC preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel (advanced), QS/ERP software
