We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a strong contracting company background in the UAE to oversee and manage all logistics operations for construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the movement of materials, equipment, machinery, and manpower to ensure timely project execution while maintaining compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to support construction project requirements.
- Manage the transportation, delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials, equipment, and machinery across multiple project sites.
- Coordinate with procurement, project management, warehouse, and site teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Monitor logistics schedules and resolve transportation or supply chain issues to avoid project delays.
- Manage fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, maintenance coordination, and utilization optimization.
- Oversee warehouse and inventory management activities to ensure proper storage and material tracking.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with transporters, suppliers, and logistics service providers.
- Ensure compliance with UAE transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare logistics plans, reports, and performance metrics for management review.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization across logistics operations.
- Lead and develop the logistics team, ensuring efficient resource utilization and operational excellence.
- Coordinate heavy equipment mobilization and demobilization activities for construction projects.
