Quality systems and manufacturing control
- Develop and improve the QMS, maintain procedures and documentation, and lead internal and external audits.
- Manage non-conformances and corrective and preventive actions.
- Set incoming-material inspection criteria and monitor supplier performance.
- Oversee in-process checks for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and other conversion processes.
- Use SPC to monitor process variability.
- Set final inspections for dimensions, mechanical properties, appearance, and function; ensure compliant packaging, labeling, and product release.
Leadership, improvement, and systems
- Recruit, train, and mentor QA/QC staff; set objectives and conduct performance reviews.
- Analyze defects, complaints, and scrap; lead root-cause and improvement work using methods such as 8D, FMEA, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D, and procurement on corrective actions and supplier issues.
- Use Odoo 18 Quality, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules to record inspections, manage CAPA, analyze data, and generate reports.
- Optimize quality workflows with the ERP implementation team and address customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical) or a related scientific field.
- 7–10 years of Quality Assurance/Control experience in plastic manufacturing.
- Experience implementing and managing QMS, such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of plastic materials, processing techniques, testing methods, and quality tools including SPC, FMEA, 8D, or Lean Six Sigma.
- ERP experience and understanding of manufacturing and inventory; Odoo 18 is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
