QA/QC Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Quality Management System.
• Establish and monitor QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, and Quality Control Plans.
• Lead the QA/QC team and coordinate quality activities with project teams.
• Review material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, test reports, and quality documents.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and site assessments and address quality issues.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports, corrective actions, and preventive actions through timely closure.
• Monitor laboratory and third-party testing and verify material and equipment compliance.
• Prepare quality reports, inspection records, statistics, and documentation for management and clients.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, HSE, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Maintain record traceability, support audits, and drive continuous improvement and compliance with Qatar and international standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 20 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• At least 10 years of experience as a QA/QC Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong experience in building and/or infrastructure construction quality management.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspections, testing, and quality management systems.
• Excellent knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, NCR management, material approvals, and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with international standards and quality management requirements, including ISO 9001.
• Experience dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
• UPDA certification is preferred, and Qatar or GCC construction experience will be highly considered.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

Work Location

• Work is performed in person on construction projects and sites.
