Junior Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test, and implement software applications, web applications, internal systems, and business tools.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into practical software solutions.
• Integrate systems, applications, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues; maintain and improve applications and databases.
• Develop reports, dashboards, forms, and automated workflows; support database management, data validation, and data migration.
• Ensure applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and user-friendly, and perform testing and quality checks before deployment.
• Maintain technical documentation, system documentation, and application specifications.
• Investigate system errors, coordinate with IT vendors or external developers, and provide users with technical support and guidance.
• Monitor application performance, recommend improvements, and follow development standards, IT security policies, and company procedures.
• Stay current with technologies, programming languages, development tools, and software engineering practices.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, computer engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in software development or a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles and practices; good understanding of database concepts; experience with web applications and APIs.
• Knowledge of software testing, debugging, version control, and system integration.
• Practical knowledge of programming languages, web technologies and frameworks, databases, REST APIs and integrations, version control, and reporting tools; examples are given as alternatives.
• ERP or enterprise software experience is preferred. Basic cloud knowledge and workflow or business process automation knowledge are advantages.
