Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications; translate user requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Develop web, desktop, mobile, or internal business applications and write clean, efficient, secure, maintainable code.
• Maintain and enhance applications, systems, and databases; resolve bugs, system errors, and performance issues.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and quality assurance before deployment.
• Develop databases, queries, reports, and integrations with APIs, third-party platforms, and business systems.
• Build user-friendly interfaces and implement security measures, access controls, and data protection procedures.
• Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and provide technical troubleshooting support to end users.
• Prepare technical documentation, manuals, user guides, and development records; maintain source control and backups.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, implementation projects, and user training; coordinate with IT staff, vendors, consultants, and departments.
• Ensure systems follow company IT policies and applicable cybersecurity requirements; protect confidential information.

Potential technologies

• Work may involve HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Python, Java, C#, VB.NET, or similar languages.
• Potential frameworks and backend technologies include React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, .NET, Laravel, and Django.
• Potential databases include MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Potential tools and platforms include REST APIs, Git-based version control, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and SharePoint.
• Reporting and data visualization tools may also be used; specific technologies depend on company applications and systems.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of software development principles and programming concepts; knowledge of relational databases and database management.
• Understanding of SDLC and familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Relevant certifications are an advantage. API development and integration are preferred; cybersecurity, data protection, and secure coding knowledge are advantageous.
• Five or more years of relevant software development experience is preferred, not stated as mandatory.
• Business application, ERP, HR, accounting, dashboard, or similar internal application experience is advantageous.
• Previous GCC experience is advantageous but not mandatory; end-to-end project experience from requirements through deployment and maintenance is preferred.
