Role overview

QA strategy and team leadership

• Define QA processes and test strategies; build test plans, scenarios, coverage matrices, and traceability.
• Establish standards for complex business logic and integration-heavy products and improve documentation and testing maturity.
• Lead and mentor the manual testing team, review test design, coach testers, and strengthen defect reporting and accountability.

Release quality and defect improvement

• Own release readiness and sign-off; ensure documented and executed test coverage and make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations.
• Lead root cause analysis for escaped defects, identify coverage and process gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Track quality trends and communicate status, risks, defects, and product quality to senior leadership.

Hands-on testing and automation

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and scenario-based testing of complex and high-risk areas.
• Test payments and multi-currency workflows, access permissions, multi-tenant data isolation, regulated data, integrations, WebSockets, and real-time features.
• Support automation initiatives and the automation roadmap; perform automated testing with Python and Selenium.
• Coordinate testing across products and client projects and maintain QA records in Zoho Projects, Zoho Desk, Jira, or similar tools.

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of overall QA or software testing experience and 2+ years leading or mentoring a QA/testing team.
• Experience owning test strategy, QA processes, test plans, coverage frameworks, traceability, and release-readiness decisions.
• Strong manual testing and escaped-defect root cause analysis experience; complex product testing involving payments, multi-tenant data, and sensitive or regulated data.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, team-management, defect-tracking, and test-management experience.
• WebSockets experience is mandatory; automation experience is mandatory, including at least 2 years using Python and Selenium.
• Experience with Zoho, Jira, or similar tools.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience developing or implementing a QA automation strategy; API or performance testing experience.
• Experience in payments, healthcare, EdTech, products handling children's data, or SaaS/product environments.
• ISTQB Advanced certification or equivalent.
