Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing requirements for the Engineering Department and support other hotel departments as required.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships for technical materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.
- Obtain and compare quotations based on technical specifications, quality, pricing, and commercial requirements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty conditions, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately and promptly.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and equipment requirements when required.
- Coordinate with Engineering to ensure purchased items meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Follow up on deliveries, installation, warranties, repairs, and technical support.
- Support procurement for AMCs, repairs, maintenance works, and technical services.
- Maintain purchasing records and monitor supplier performance and delivery.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and technical standards.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
Requirements
- Engineering background is required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous purchasing or procurement experience is required.
- Experience in a hotel, resort, facility management, or technical environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials is required.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and coordinate with Engineering teams and suppliers.
- Strong negotiation, supplier-management, and communication skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP or procurement systems.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements.
