The Public Relations Officer manages government relations and regulatory processes for company operations in Saudi Arabia.
The position acts as the company’s primary liaison with government authorities and coordinates with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and renew business licences and permits and secure approvals for promotions and signage.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and handle employee visa, residency, and work-permit processes.
- Coordinate with HR on Saudization, labour-law, and social insurance requirements.
- Serve as the government contact and handle inspections, violations, fines, and objections within deadlines.
- Track licence, permit, and residency expiry dates and monitor regulatory changes.
- Advise management, Marketing, and Retail Operations about regulatory changes and deadlines.
- Perform other reasonable professional duties assigned by the HR Manager or management.
Experience and knowledge
- At least 8 years of PRO or government relations experience in KSA; retail experience in Riyadh is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Saudi government portals and e-services.
- Strong knowledge of KSA labour law, commercial and consumer regulations, and municipal requirements.
Skills and languages
- Professional proficiency in English and Arabic is compulsory.
- Strong communication, networking, negotiation, document-control, and deadline-management skills.
- Sound problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making, with the ability to guide a small team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Respect for different cultures, attitudes, beliefs, and traditions.
Compensation
- Pay starts at SAR 7,000 per month.
