Projects Manager - Master Planning and Design Development

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead major master-planning, roads, and infrastructure design projects.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, government authorities, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and establish project governance, delivery strategies, execution plans, and reporting systems.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, change control, claims, financial performance, risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct planning, scheduling, and resource management; oversee procurement, contractors, and consultant coordination.
• Manage scope, commercial, and variation negotiations; monitor progress, metrics, milestones, and deliverables.
• Resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues; promote improvement and mentor project managers.
• Chair project reviews and report to the Projects Director and/or Senior Projects Manager.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design and Project Management, or a related technical field.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience delivering major infrastructure, transportation, or civil-engineering projects.
• Significant Abu Dhabi-specific project-management or senior project-leadership experience.
• Demonstrated local knowledge and experience in master planning, roads, infrastructure, governance, commercial and risk management, and multidisciplinary leadership.

Desired skills

• PMP or PCP certification is desired.
• Engineering design software experience is desired.
