Parsons is hiring a Land Surveyor in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role interfaces with clients and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform land and field surveys and geodetic calculations.
- Complete survey requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
- Check setting-out, levels, and service locations, and ensure services are protected.
- Prepare fieldwork sketches and maintain field books, sketches, and calculations.
- Measure work when required and assist with as-built drawings.
- Observe site safety procedures and participate in site health and safety matters as required.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Survey Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of land surveying and setting-out experience on roads and bridges projects.
- Knowledge of or experience with CAD, GIS and survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
- Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard industry work procedures.
Desired skills
- Prior experience with bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects is desired.
- Good communication skills and commitment to safe work practices are desired.
