Land Surveyor - Marine

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and documents related to marine, roads, and infrastructure works.
• Supervise surveying-related works.
• Perform land and field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to determine and verify survey requirements.
• Complete survey requirements on schedule and within labor-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out, levels, and service locations, and ensure services are protected.
• Prepare field sketches and maintain field books, sketches, and calculations.
• Measure completed work when required.
• Observe site safety procedures and participate in required site health and safety matters.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings.

Required qualifications and skills

• Diploma or associate degree in Land Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure and marine projects; UAE consultant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of or experience using CAD and survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Desired skills

• GCC experience is an advantage.
• Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including effective project-team interaction.
• Ability to interpret construction specifications and understand relevant construction processes.
• Computer literate and able to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and use project-specific software.
