About This Role
Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
The role ensures projects are completed within the approved budget, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and safeguards the company’s financial and contractual interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and material measurements from drawings and specifications.
- Manage tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit progress payment claims, variations, and change orders.
- Evaluate subcontractor invoices and certify payments.
- Perform cost analysis, forecasting, and budget updates.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and project specifications.
- Prepare final accounts and project close-out reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency.
- Identify risks and propose cost-effective solutions.
