About This Role
Project Quantity Surveyor
We are looking for an experienced **Quantity Surveyor** with a **minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Landscape projects**.
The ideal candidate should have expertise in quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
- Monitor project costs and control expenditure throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare tender documents and assist in contractor selection
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts and variations
- Measure and value construction work completed on site
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Manage claims, variations, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
- Provide regular cost reports and financial forecasts to management
- Work closely with site teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery
Skills and Competencies
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials
- Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
- Landscape/Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction.
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
- Great networking abilities.
