Project Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator for our project in Abu Dhabi with a minimum of 5 years UAE experience.

The Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for construction projects.

This includes gathering and analyzing project data, developing cost models, and preparing detailed estimates,variations& claim related.

The Engineer must have a strong understanding of construction materials, labor costs, and project scheduling.

The main responsibilities are as below:

Prepare and submit Advance Payment Certificates based on contract documents.

2.

Monitor the validity of insurances, guarantees, and bonds.

3.

Summarize quantities for the entire project according to the contract and shop drawings.

4.

Create detailed breakdowns for each item in the Bill of Quantities.

5.

Develop and submit Cost Estimates (CE) and Work Orders (WO) with adequate supporting documentation, maintaining a log.

6.

Analyse rates and provide detailed breakdowns for new rate items.

7.

Prepare Variation Orders.

8.

Generate Project Cost Reports.

9.

Conduct monthly interim and payment evaluations.

10.

Prepare and submit Progress Payment Certificates based on approved Work Inspection Reports (WIR) and site progress, maintaining a log.

11.

Monitor subcontractors' work quantities and arrange payments to suppliers and subcontractors.

12.

Prepare inquiry documents for subcontractor-related work.

13.

Coordinate with other project departments, such as Procurement and Planning.

14.

Provide expertise on contractual claims.

15.

Prepare and submit final project accounts.

16.

Review tender inquiries and documents from potential clients or main contractors.

17.

Assess project needs by evaluating scope of work, specifications, and contract requirements.

18.

Create detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and pricing breakdowns for all project components.

19.

Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.

20.

Prepare compliant tender submission documents, including BOQ, pricing breakdowns, and necessary attachments.

21.

Draft subcontract and supply contracts in collaboration with the legal and procurement teams.

22.

Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents following company procedures and compliance standards.

23.

Effectively communicate with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the tendering phase.

24.

Address inquiries and provide timely and professional clarifications to bidders.
