Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Significant experience in Risk & Compliance projects.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years in banking.
- Good understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and practices, including Waterfall, Hybrid, or Agile.
- PMI certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Techno-functional capability, problem-solving, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Hands-on Microsoft Project experience; MPP knowledge is a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management at multiple levels, including senior management.
- Familiarity with project performance monitoring principles and metrics.
- In-depth banking and technology knowledge and experience with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing a team of more than 5–10 people.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver projects successfully by aligning IT, business, operations, and vendor teams for timely, high-quality delivery.
- Manage scope, time, and budget across project phases from initiation through closure.
- Handle at least three projects at a time.
- Create and execute project work plans and closely monitor deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day project operations and resolve delivery challenges.
- Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders to support customer satisfaction.
- Complete and appropriately store project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and provide periodic updates to senior management.
- Report status, challenges, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Preferred risk application background
- Experience with risk applications such as Credit Risk Management Standards, data delivery for model implementation, or model lifecycle management is preferred.
