Role overview

Project planning and delivery

• Direct overall design and construction planning, identifying critical milestones and priorities.
• Set budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
• Ensure subcontractors and major construction equipment are available at the appropriate time.
• Assign construction superintendents to work areas, monitor progress, and recommend corrective action.
• Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to support efficiency, schedules, and budget goals.
• Identify possible problem areas and take preventive action to meet critical milestones.
• Ensure sound construction practices and quality control while pursuing efficiency and cost objectives.

Management and coordination

• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions and salary actions.
• Prepare periodic construction progress reports and formal presentations for management and clients.
• Ensure company and client policies and procedures are implemented, including labor relations policies.
• Act as the main construction contact for clients, subcontractors, and government representatives.
• Maintain strong client and community relations.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering field.
• At least 15 years of experience in large-scale building construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.
• Demonstrated managerial capability and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred experience

• Experience in large civil/structural and/or industrial projects in the GCC is preferred.
• Airport experience is a plus.
