Job Purpose

The Project Manager – Marine & Subsea Maintenance is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of Subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) works,

Marine/offshore structural maintenance and subsea assets.

The role ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective project completion in compliance with ADNOC standards, contractual requirements, and HSE regulations, utilizing AHT vessels, DP2 Vessels, barges, and support crafts, diving teams.

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead offshore execution of:
  • SPM / CALM buoy and MONO buoy maintenance campaigns
  • Subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) works
  • Marine structural maintenance (jetties, berths, offshore facilities)
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate simultaneous offshore operations across multiple work fronts.

2. Marine Logistics & Vessel Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate deployment of AHT vessels,DP2 Vessels, barges, and support crafts
  • Manage mobilization, demobilization, and offshore logistics.
  • Liaise with ADNOC marine control, port authorities, and vessel operators.

3. HSE & Regulatory Compliance

  • Enforce strict compliance with ADNOC HSE policies and Permit-to-Work (PTW) system
  • CICPA and offshore access requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure all personnel certifications are valid (BOSIET, H2S,IMCA, diving, etc.).

4. Contract & Commercial Management

  • Administer contracts including Variations, claims, and change orders ,extension of Time (EOT) submissions
  • monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Track vessel standby, weather downtime, and offshore inefficiencies for claims.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as primary liaison with: ADNOC and EPC clients, Consultants and inspection agencies
  • Lead progress meetings, resolve technical issues, and ensure client satisfaction.

6. Team Leadership & Resource Management

  • Lead multidisciplinary offshore teams including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Ensure proper manpower planning, mobilization, and training.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure productivity targets are met.

7. Procurement & Material Management

  • Coordinate procurement of:
  • Marine equipment, coating materials, and subsea tools
  • Ensure compatibility of materials and compliance with technical specifications.

8. Reporting & Documentation

  • Ensure timely submission of:
  • Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and offshore logs
  • Weekly/monthly progress reports
  • Final project dossiers and handover documentation
  • Maintain records for audit, compliance, and claims.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • PMP, IMCA (Diving/ROV) preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Arabic is an added advantage
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in offshore marine and subsea project
  • Including 5+ years in leadership / managerial roles

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in managing projects within marine, Offshore maintenance and subsea IRM activities
  • Proven track record in handling large-scale, high-risk operations
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, and risk management
  • Managing AHT vessel-based operations
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments
  • Strong understanding of QHSE standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership capabilities
  • Experience working with ADNOC or similar oil & gas clients is essential
