Job Purpose

Assist the ship's officers in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Stand watch as per the ship's watchkeeping schedule
  • Assist in navigation and piloting the vessel
  • Maintain navigational charts and publications
  • Monitor vessel systems and equipment
  • Participate in emergency drills and exercises
  • Assist in cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and lashing
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the ship
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of deck equipment
  • Prepare and submit navigational reports and log
  • Comply with international maritime regulations and company procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Cadet
  • Unlimited Certificate of Competency (COC)
  • Proficient in English
