Role Overview
Lead delivery of energy centre and cooling infrastructure for data centre projects in coordination with the Data Centre Delivery Project Manager.
The scope includes power generation, HV/MV electrical infrastructure, central cooling, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Project Delivery
- Manage execution plans, schedules, budgets, cash flow, resources, scope boundaries, interface registers, risks, issues, changes, claims, and progress reporting.
- Coordinate owners, EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, designers, consultants, authorities, clients, and international stakeholders.
Energy and Electrical Infrastructure
- Manage gas turbine, CCGT, gas engine, and BESS energy centre delivery.
- Coordinate gas supply, fuel systems, water treatment, plant cooling, fire protection, controls, substations, transformers, switchgear, and MV distribution.
- Support supplier evaluations covering output, efficiency, availability, redundancy, fuel consumption, and operating costs.
Cooling Infrastructure
- Manage chillers, cooling towers or dry coolers, pumps, heat exchangers, and primary pipework serving data halls.
- Coordinate waste-heat recovery, absorption chillers, generator-trip resilience, in-hall cooling, CRAH units, CDUs, and liquid cooling for high-density AI/GPU loads.
Procurement and Construction
- Lead tendering, bid evaluation, contract awards, supplier coordination, factory acceptance tests, inspection, expediting, and logistics.
- Oversee construction, HSE, QA/QC, testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
Core Requirements
- Experience managing power generation, energy infrastructure, or large mission-critical MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of power generation, HV/MV systems, data centre cooling, and power-cooling interfaces.
- Experience with EPC, FIDIC, or NEC contracts, change management, commercial control, and project planning tools.
- Excellent English communication, leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and supplier factories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Project management certification and chartered or data centre certification are advantageous.
