Project Manager - Construction Supervision

Role overview

Project and team leadership

• Lead construction supervision projects from mobilization through completion, meeting approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Oversee Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and project teams, and ensure effective resource allocation and team performance.
• Build client relationships, manage expectations, resolve challenges, and identify repeat-business opportunities.
• Deputize for the Head of Construction Supervision and take on Resident Engineer or other project leadership responsibilities when needed.

Commercial, quality, and growth responsibilities

• Monitor profitability, cash flow, and financial forecasts; review variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Ensure contractual compliance, manage risks, and resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues.
• Support QMS implementation, lead internal audits, and drive lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Support opportunity identification, strategic client engagement, market intelligence, and project acquisition.
• Identify candidates, take part in technical interviews, and support recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
• Contribute to departmental budgets, manpower forecasts, KPI monitoring, and management reporting.
• Manage assigned overseas projects, including in KSA, in line with local regulations and authority requirements.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience in construction supervision and project management; architecture, engineering, or consultancy experience is preferred.
• Experience managing multiple construction supervision projects and leading Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, commercial administration, budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Ability to manage client relationships, resolve complex project issues, and maintain commercial performance.
• Experience with QMS implementation, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills; overseas project experience, particularly in KSA, is advantageous.
