Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across project stages from feasibility and concept through tender documentation and construction.
• Maintain technical quality and compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, international standards, and company procedures.
• Resolve design and coordination challenges and oversee milestones, programmes, budgets, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and specialist consultant teams.
• Lead technical reviews, audits, drawing reviews, and quality assurance to ensure accurate, coordinated, buildable deliverables.
• Represent the department in senior client meetings, technical workshops, authority discussions, and contractor coordination meetings.
• Support resource planning, workload management, technical performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of departmental standards.
• Mentor Senior Architects, Design Managers, and Project Architects; act as Deputy to the Head of Design when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 20 years of professional architectural experience, including 10 years leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience delivering complex projects across RIBA/AIA design stages from concept to construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, local authority approval processes, and international design standards.
• Expertise in technical detailing, multidisciplinary coordination, BIM-enabled delivery, technical quality assurance, and design reviews.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and stakeholder management skills; excellent written and spoken English.
• GCC experience is preferred; professional registration or chartership is desirable.
