Role overview

Contract management

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer client, consultant, and subcontractor agreements.
• Manage project contracts from award through administration, variations, extensions, and close-out.
• Act as primary contact for contractual matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Review terms for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and project requirements.
• Validate scopes, deliverables, and contractual obligations against RIBA, AIA, or other relevant industry standards.
• Maintain contract records, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Identify, assess, and resolve contractual issues, disputes, and commercial risks; monitor contractual obligations.
• Prepare regular commercial and contractual reports and maintain project risk registers.
• Monitor budgets, financial performance, invoicing, collections, and consultant payments with finance and project teams.
• Support bid management by reviewing tender documents, contractual terms, and legal requirements.

Tender management

• Manage contractor prequalification and maintain approved bidder lists.
• Prepare tender documentation, including Instructions to Tenderers, Conditions of Contract, and Tender Volumes.
• Issue invitations to tender and manage the tendering process.
• Respond to queries, prepare addenda, and manage post-tender clarifications.
• Coordinate technical and commercial bid evaluations and prepare evaluation reports and contractor recommendations.
• Draft and finalize successful bidders' contract documents; support contract award and mobilization.
• Assist construction supervision teams with contract administration and review contractor submissions for contractual, commercial, and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Experienced in contracts and commercial management for projects from inception through completion.
• Able to prepare, review, negotiate, and administer client, consultant, and subcontractor agreements.
• Able to manage contract administration, tender processes, variations, extensions, and close-out.
• Able to review scopes, deliverables, contractual obligations, and contractor submissions against project requirements.
• Able to assess contractual issues, disputes, and commercial risks and support their resolution.
• Able to monitor project budgets and financial performance, including invoicing, collections, and consultant payments.
• Familiarity with RIBA, AIA, or other relevant industry standards.
• Able to prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and finalize contract documents.
