Project Manager – Construction & Infrastructure– UAE National

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from planning and design through execution, completion, and handover.
• Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource needs.
• Coordinate government stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and external parties.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes; identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor and consultant compliance with designs, specifications, contracts, HSE standards, and quality expectations.
• Monitor costs and financial performance; review technical submissions, reports, schedules, and progress updates.
• Facilitate meetings, communicate actions, and support procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and Abu Dhabi government regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare status reports and recommendations; coordinate handover, completion, and close-out documentation.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 6–8+ years of relevant project management, construction, or infrastructure delivery experience.
• Strong experience managing large-scale construction and/or infrastructure projects.
• Understand project lifecycle management, construction methods, contracts, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across complex infrastructure projects and strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi/UAE construction environment.
• UAE government, government-related, infrastructure authority, developer, consultant, or major contractor experience is highly desirable.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Preferred project backgrounds and competencies

• Relevant backgrounds include government infrastructure, roads and transportation, utilities and networks, public realm, community infrastructure, buildings, government facilities, and master-planned developments.
• Infrastructure planning and delivery and construction programme management are relevant experience areas.
• Core competencies include project planning and delivery, stakeholder and contractor management, risk and issue management, budget and cost control, schedule management, contract administration, compliance, communication, reporting, and problem solving.
