Project Financial Controller - ICT Projects

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Act as a financial business partner to project teams and support financial performance and operational decisions.
• Manage project budgets, monthly rolling forecasts, financial analysis, and performance reporting.
• Monitor revenue, costs, profitability, cash flow, and financial KPIs against approved budgets and baselines.
• Work across sales, procurement, delivery, and collections to identify risks and improve profitability.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to stakeholders; maintain accurate baselines, forecasts, and cost expectations.
• Monitor execution for deviations and ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Support month-end reporting and reviews; coordinate with teams in different cities.
• Improve financial-control, reporting, and risk-management practices and support identification and mitigation of project risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in project finance, project controlling, financial controlling, management accounting, or similar.
• Experience in project-based, technology, telecommunications, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or delivery-oriented settings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial analysis, and project performance management.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, responsibility, ownership, and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to work across teams in different locations.
• Advanced Excel and financial-reporting capabilities; fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel for business when required.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in ICT, telecommunications, technology, or large-scale project environments is preferred.
• Experience with project profitability, cost-to-complete, cash-flow forecasting, or financial risk management is preferred.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems, project-management systems, Power BI, or other reporting and visualization tools is preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
