Project Engineer - Fitout only

Role overview

Requirements

• 7–10 years of proven experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of fit-out works and site-management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Project execution and coordination

• Manage and supervise day-to-day interior fit-out project execution; plan and monitor site activities against approved schedules.
• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural, civil, joinery, and MEP works with project managers, designers, MEP engineers, QA/QC, site supervisors, and other team members.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforce; monitor manpower allocation and productivity.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders on site requirements, inspections, and approvals; attend coordination meetings.
• Coordinate project variations and additional works and maintain supporting documentation.

Progress, materials, and quality

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, identify potential delays, and take corrective action to maintain schedules.
• Coordinate material requirements with Purchase and Logistics; ensure timely site availability and minimize wastage.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain workmanship standards; coordinate WIRs, MIRs, inspections, snagging, and de-snagging with QA/QC.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, material approvals, specifications, HSE requirements, and site safety regulations.

Completion and handover

• Protect completed works and manage snagging, testing, commissioning, and final rectification.
• Assist with as-built drawings, O&M documents, and project handover documentation.
• Complete and hand over projects within the agreed timeline.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 12,000 per month.
