The furniture carpenter will manufacture, assemble, install, and repair custom furniture and joinery according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Read and understand furniture, joinery, and technical drawings.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, MDF, veneer, laminates, and other materials.
- Manufacture custom furniture including wardrobes, cabinets, tables, counters, doors, wall panels, and other joinery items.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate dimensions, alignment, finishing, and overall product quality.
- Install furniture and joinery at project sites when required.
- Repair, modify, and adjust existing furniture.
- Coordinate with supervisors, designers, and other trades to execute work smoothly.
- Minimize material waste and use materials efficiently.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in workshops and project sites.
- Identify and report quality issues, material defects, or technical problems to the supervisor.
- Complete assigned work within required timelines and quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 5–8 years of experience as a furniture carpenter or joinery carpenter.
- Experience in custom furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out/joinery works is preferred.
- Good knowledge of woodworking materials, hardware, fittings, and finishing methods.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
- Experience using woodworking machinery and carpentry hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop and/or project site environment.
- UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
Pay
- AED 1,700–2,000 per month.
Work location
- Work location is in person; work may be in a workshop and/or at project sites.
