Responsibilities
- Operate boring machines to drill wood-based panels, including MDF, plywood, and solid wood.
- Read shop drawings and production instructions; set up machines, adjust drilling positions, and select drill bits.
- Drill hinge, dowel, shelf-pin, and other joinery holes to accurate positions, depths, spacing, and alignment.
- Inspect components; report machine faults, damaged tools, and production defects.
- Clean and perform basic maintenance on machines and tools.
- Meet production schedules and deadlines; coordinate with carpenters, CNC operators, and workshop supervisors.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years of boring-machine experience in a joinery or furniture-manufacturing workshop.
- Practical knowledge of furniture production and joinery processes.
- Ability to understand shop drawings and follow measurements accurately.
- Knowledge of drill bits, machine settings, drilling techniques, machine safety, and maintenance.
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to work independently and meet production targets.
Pay
- AED 2,000–2,800 per month.
