Project Engineer – Electrical

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems in line with industry standards, regulations, safety, and efficiency needs.
• Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables with project managers and stakeholders, and track progress.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee installation and commissioning, coordinating contractors and vendors to meet specifications and quality expectations.
• Inspect and maintain systems, diagnose issues, and arrange timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports on specifications, progress, and outcomes for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and team members.
• Monitor industry developments and integrate relevant technologies into project workflows.
• Participate in project reviews and post-project analyses to improve processes and outcomes.

Skills

• Electrical design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Project management skills and tools such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
• Problem-solving, electrical safety and compliance knowledge, and feasibility and risk assessment capability.
• Communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.
